Program Objective:

General Objectives – the program has the following general objectives:

  • To train medium level personnel that can:
  • To provide consultancy service to organizations that promote languages and cultures;
  • To create general awareness about linguistic and cultural values in a multi- cultural society.
    1. make descriptions, codifications, standardizations, and elaborations of local languages for modern use;
    2. document and preserve minority languages/cultures that are endangered;

Specific Objectives – the specific objective of the program is to train medium level professionals that can:

  • promote minority languages and cultures;
  • preserve seriously endangered languages and cultures; and
  • develop orthographies, literacy manuals, primers, and dictionaries.

Admission requirements – students should pass the National College Entrance Examination in order to join the program.

Graduation requirement – students should do a total of 185 ECTS and earn a minimum CGPA & MGPA of 2.00 with no “F” in any course.
