Program Objective: the objective of Mechanical Engineering Education is to educate trainable, broad based mechanical engineers that can fit in the different application areas of mechanical engineering after given on job training for about a year.
Admission requirements:
- Regular students who fulfill the following criteria are eligible for admission to the program:
- Preparatory complete with a pass in the national examination
- Above average grades in Technical Drawing, Physics and Mathematics
- Good performance in the assessment semester.
- Students who complete 10+3 TVET programs related to mechanical engineering with very good performance and who have attended a bridging program in physical sciences can also be considered for admission, although their acceptance will depend on availability of space.
Graduation requirement:
- Total ECTS/Credit = 326/179
- CGPA and MGPA at least 2.00
- No “F”, “D”, or “C–“ grades
- Other requirements are as same as those of Addis Ababa University graduation requirements.
