Research interest/ not more than hundred words My research interest is on the identification of regulatory proteins that are involved in the regulation of the physiological function of G-protein coupled receptors. Specifically on the identification of the G-protein coupled receptor kinases (GRKs) that are involved in the regulation 5-HT4 and 5-HT7 receptors. GRKs play an important role in the regulation of the desensitization of G-protein coupled receptors. Identifying the GRKs responsible for regulation of individual receptors will help in the identification of new drug target in the future. Also, I am involved in molecular and functional Pharmacology studies. Furthermore, I am involved on researches that identify new drugs from traditional medicine.
