Research interest Investigation into the molecular epidemiology and the biology of viral and bacteriological diseases of humans in Ethiopia; the diversity, phenotypic and genotypic drug resistance patterns of HIV, HCV, HBV, arboviruses and bacterial etiologies; bacterial and viral STI  agents; gastrointestinal viruses, oncoviruses; disaster- associated bacterial and viral pathogens; and emerging bacterial and viral pathogens.
