Program objectives

The objectives of the Department are:

• To train undergraduate medical students enrolled in the School of Medicine, College of Health Sciences, Addis Ababa University medical microbiology, immunology and parasitology and contribute to the development of competent physicians in the country;
• To provide the most rigorous and inspiring training in the areas of microbiology, immunology, parasitology and other related fields for postgraduate (Master’s and PhD) students;
• To produce new knowledge concerning microbiological, immunologic and parasitological processes as related to human health and diseases through research.
