Profile of Temesgen Worku (PhD)
Dr. Temesgen did his PhD in international trade facilitation and tax compliance in Amsterdam (the Netherlands). His master’s thesis focused on capital market and the infrastructure for liquid stock exchange. Over the last 20 years, he has been working as academician, consultant, executives’ trainer, management advisor, and industry practitioner. His academic interest includes tax and customs compliance, trade facilitations, financial markets, process automation, data analytics, and organizational transformation.
As a seasoned and certified management consultant, Dr. Temesgen has been providing consultancy services to the private, public, and the third sector on such areas as tax compliance, tax knowledge improvement, ERP selection and implementation, system design, standard operational procedures (SOP) manual development, internal control design, system audit, investment evaluation, organizational transformation, strategic planning; institutional capacity evaluation; operational excellence, impact assessment; resource optimization; financial management; governance; performance measurement; financial modeling; M&A dealing, needs assessments; enterprise risk management; project evaluation; situation analysis; feasibility study and project development, conflict resolution, Ethiopian tax, company and investment laws, website design, and many other related topic in investment, management, accounting, taxation and finance areas.
Dr. Temesgen has experience in the industry holding various C-Suite position such as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Finance Officers (CFO), and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). Dr. Temesgen also serves in private organizations as board member and management advisor.
