Looking for Research Grant

The office of the Director for Research subscribed Research Africa for a year to be used by postgraduate students, academics, researchers, and research mangers of the AAU in all disciplines with comprehensive, up-to-date information on agencies, personalities, funding trends and funding opportunities worldwide.

It provides for subscribers an access to authoritative and appropriately highlighted information of thousands of research funding opportunities to sustain African research. The subscribers have universal access to comprehensive, authoritative and detailed information of over 50,000 research funding opportunities globally to enable sustained research for African development. With over 60 clients located across Africa, from South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe in the south, Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya in the East, to Nigeria, Benin and Ghana in the West, Research Africa is the leading source of funding information for universities and institutions across the continent.

The Addis Ababa University‘s Research Professional Africa page, https://www.researchprofessional.com/institution/5109512/ is the first source of information and expertise on funding news, funding opportunities and sponsorship / funder information for Addis Ababa University.  The website can only be accessed within AAU IP address connected computers.

The platform allows you to search for various grant opportunities specific to your chosen discipline and projects. Also included in the subscription package are research funding-focused news services that you will receive weekly. Thus, giving you access to over 11,000 funders and close to 50,000 funding opportunities across all disciplines ready to be filtered per country and nationality.

Types of funding opportunities include: scholarships, fellowships, research grants, travel grants, capacity building grants, research collaboration calls and development funding from local and global funders of development projects in Africa.

Directors of research Institutes, Deans, and College Associate Deans for Research and Technology Transfer are asked to communicate and encourage post graduate students, academics and researchers to make use of it to get grants.  Particularly, PIs and sub-PIs of a thematic research projects are highly encouraged to use of the platform for more funding.
