Dr. Mitike Molla has been chosen one of Pneumonia Fighters! for World Pneumonia Day 2019

Since 2015, ten individuals have been selected each year for their outstanding contributions to advancing the fight against the leading killer of children – pneumonia.

Each year, the names are announced on World Pneumonia Day, November 12th, and your profiles (see below) are shared widely among the global health and development community, as well as with the general public, through social media.

This is the first time we have honored an all-women line up of Pneumona Fighters! and we have been inspired by the trailblazing work of Women in Global Health.

We know that your work is hard, and often goes unacknowledged, and we know that many of you work in very challenging circumstances. We hope that this acknowledgement lets you know how appreciated you are, and helps advance your work.

So congratulations to the first all-women team of Pneumonia Fighters!
