Announcement of Master’s and PhD Scholarships under the DAAD In-Country/In-Region

The Addis Ababa University, Department of Microbial, Cellular and Molecular Biology hereby announce a scholarship opportunity in collaboration with German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). In the following filed of studies: Applied Genetics, Applied Microbiology and Biomedical Sciences and one of the fields available at Institute of Biotechnology (IoB).

 

  1. Applicants are strongly advised to read carefully the conditions for scholarships from Information sheet; DAAD In-Country/In-Region Scholarships for Postgraduate Studies, Eastern Africa for 2015/16 which is available at http://www.nm-aist.ac.tz/information_sheet.pdf
  2. Applicants note the following requirements:
  1. Research proposal (10-15 pages) and one page proposal abstract for PhD applicant
  2. Maximum of two pages letter of motivation(Master’s applicant)
  3. Scholarships Duration: a maximum of two years (Master’s) and three years (PhD).
  4. Female candidates and candidates from less privileged regions or groups as well as candidates with disabilities are especially encouraged to apply.
  5. Applications must be sent to the Department of Microbial, Cellular and Molecular Biology  using the following address:
