Addis Ababa University (AAU) community donated blood to the National Defense Forces at the main campus today, November 18, 2020.

Executive board members, academic and administrative staffs of AAU participated in the blood donation campaign with strong feelings of willingness.

 “The national defense forces need the support of the public and the university at this time; to this end, our university has donated 5 million Birr from its budget and the staffs have contributed 10% of their salaries,” Professor Tassew Woldehana, President of Addis Ababa University stated during the program.

According to Professor Tassew, our defense force should be praised for its efforts doing to enforce rule and law to escalate the peace and security of our people.

 As a result of supporting the victory that the defense forces have scored in the front, our university community is willing to donate and even fully committed to sacrifice life, Prof. Tassew added.

“This is small civic duty every Ethiopian and our university community as well should take the lead and be ready to donate its blood, “Professor Tassew finally said.
