The exhibition titled: “Ethiopia: Land of Origins and Civilization”, showcases rural Ethiopian scenery,  ancient civilization and history, ancient science and astronomy, and traditional paintings,  Dr Agenehun Adane, Director of the School said.

The exhibit has its sights on mobilizing arts support for Ethiopia’s diplomatic relations, forging ties with foreign art schools, and sharing experiences internationally.

The Brussels event features artifacts of historic Zagwe dynasty construction designs,  Aksumite coins, artifacts symbolizing Harari civilization and modernity, and paintings of warfare presenting a visual history of wars in Ethiopia.

Among the paintings are collections under the care of the Ale School of Arts that are nearly a hundred years old.

The exhibition encompassing art, architecture, science, and technology runs until March 8, 2024, the Ethiopian Embassy in Brussels has announced.
