Addis Ababa University Women’s, Youth’s and Children’s Affairs Office in collaboration with Sida Project organized a half day training “ Education is the key for empowering Women” for female university students on May 10, 2019 at Eshetu Chole  Hall.

The training is aimed to help female students cope with existing challenges in the university creating awareness on issues related to gender, build capacity and make them successful in their university life.

The training was offered by Dr. Haregewoin Fantahun from CEDBS, Mr. Sisay Abebe from Eagel Ethiopia and Sefanit Mekonnen, PhD candidate at AAU.

The training featured discussion sessions, reflections and concluded awarding female students of outstanding performance.
