Addis Ababa University (AAU) and FDRE Policy Studies Institute (PSI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on various tasks, at AAU President’s Office today, 11^th January 2021.

As stated in the agreement, AAU and PSI concur on the necessity to promote and reinforce their cooperation, mutual exchange of information and joint assistance.

The two institutions expressed their desires to establish and promote regular relationships in academic areas and research fields in an institutionalized framework.

Purpose of the cooperation as pledged on the MoU, is to conduct, promote and intensify policy analysis and research works; to provide skilled new graduates, exchange staff for research and academic works; to provide and disseminate information; and to promote new invention capacity building and organize joint activities.

Tassew Weldehanna (Professor), President of AAU, on behalf of the University and Mekuria Haile (PhD), Director General, representing PSI, signed the MoU.

“The MoU will remain in effect for five (5) years, but renewable or so long as at least one implementing agreement incorporated within it remains in force, whichever period is longer.”
