Addis Ababa University and Huawei Technologies Ethiopia signed an agreement for the establishment of a collaborative internship program to provide internship opportunities for AAU engineering students to train under the guidance of Huawei’s top experts, and possibly receive job offers from the company continent on superior performance by the end of the internship period.

It is indicated in the internship document that the agreement, which will be interpreted in accordance with the laws of Ethiopia, will be in effect for the duration of thirty six months.

Dr. Bikila Teklu, Chief Executive Director with Rank of Vice President at AAiT, in his keynote remark said, “Key priority areas of AAU’s new strategy plan include strategic alliances and cooperation with key industry stakeholders, like Huawei Technologies. These collaborations are essential for giving our teachers and students exposure to the business world, developing their capacities, and ultimately producing graduates who are ready for the demands of the job market.”

“We place a great deal of importance on our collaboration with HUAWEI Technologies, a major player in the ICT and telecom industries worldwide, and we aim to further solidify that collaboration by expanding on the current platforms”, Dr Bikila said.
