Speaking at the workshop, AAU president, Dr Samuel Kifle underscored the need to do more on the issue of water resources as a compelling agenda of universal significance on which human health, development, and prosperity depend.

He said public universities should conduct scientific studies on water resources and show Ethiopia’s relevant realities.

Five studies were presented on diverse technical subjects relating to water resources. The president said the study findings could help inform pertinent policy making.
