AAU Gives Orientation to the New Entry Students of this Year
Addis Ababa University (AAU) gave guidance to students recently registered at its different campuses regarding their stay at the university on February 24, 2023, focusing on services to be rendered to them and various disciplinary measures and guidelines that they should follow throughout their stay in the University.
Tizazu Mussie (PhD), Associate Dean of the Office of the Dean of Students, said that the freshman students have been briefed by various professionals of the University about the various services that should be accessible to them smoothly in the various offices of the institution so that they should not get confused.
According to Dr. Tizazu, this year’s orientation has been greatly improved from the past, both in time and delivery methods with the help of modern technology, being completed within a half day not requiring of several weeks as before.
Mr. Samuel Tessema, Director at Student Services, in his part said that the University welcomes the new students and takes care of them like parents and prepares them for the desired results ahead for their future.
The director stated that Addis Ababa University will provide the students appropriate services including food, dormitory, health and safety facilities, good education and extensive knowledge in different disciplines as required.
Samuel further noted expressing his happiness that students who have achieved the best results, highly qualified and having deeper desire to learn, have entered the University and this proper recruitment system of the University should be strengthened.
