Research interest:

Exploring the role of the use of antimicrobial agents in veterinary medicine on spread of multidrug resistant foodborne pathogens in humans; investigating epidemiology and molecular mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance in foodborne pathogens such as Salmonella, E. coli in both humans and animals; evaluation of conventional drugs and traditional medicinal plants for their claimed pharmacological activities with the aim of assessing the real pharmacological values and discovering lead compounds from claimed traditional medicinal plants of Ethiopian origin; searching for promising anti-infective agents.
