My research focuses on addressing the epidemiology/molecular epidemiology of infectious disease with focus on zoonotic diseases (transmitted between animals and humans). I am involved in One Health approach that considers human, animal, and environmental drivers of zoonotic diseases.

  • Detection and prevention of emerging and re-emerging zoonotic diseases /Coronaviruses
  • Detection and prevention of zoonotic diseases transmission
  • Mapping and predicting the spread of zoonotic diseases
  • Study human health impact of zoonotic diseases
  • Conduct integrated surveillance for drug resistance in humans, animals and the environment.
