Overview

Addis Ababa Institute of Technology (AAiT) and Ethiopian Railway Corporation (ERC) signed an Educational Service Agreement on the 22^nd of December 2011 for five years. AAiT started MSc programs in the Railway Engineering fields as of 2012 to train 521 engineers based on the agreement signed with ERC. The programs are: Railway Civil Engineering, Rolling Stock Engineering, and Electrical Engineering for Railway Systems. On February 1, 2014, considering the importance of railway programs for the country’s development, AAiT established an independent Railway Engineering Center.
